|Bristol Park Changes 07/04/15 05:32PM (197) |
|We have had to start thinking about the long term future of our outdoor facility at Bristol place, at the moment it is in a very poor state of repair and at the 2 events we planned after xmas the turnout was very low. This venue is not free to the club we have to pay an annual fee to keep hold of it, don't get me wrong we want to keep hold of it and as such we have made the following choice as a committee to ensure we have a as minimal maintenance as possible track where members can use the current cars they use at indoor. We have managed to obtain a large amount of astro-turf and a large digger, over the coming weeks we will be levelling the current track and will be building a 1/10 track out of astro turf. Thats right no more sweeping dirt and those of you who use your cars at indoor will be able to race outdoor with minimal changes (Rally included). We know this does not suit everybody (dirt racing is fun) but it is designed to support the majority and that as it stands presently is our indoor racers. You will be able to use your toys more than just once a month and have a practice facility. It will encourage new racers to the sport also. To ensure it still covers its own costs we are looking into the idea of a Summer series also which will give us some extra competitive racing time. Please support this people, we will be announcing the times we are down there working on the Track and any volunteers to help make this track the great facility it can be would be much appreciated. Also we are currently working through a few points with the council and the Hotrod/Dog Clubs regarding toilet usage and power supply. etc.
|April Indoor Meeting Date Move 08/03/15 08:25PM (196) |
|Due to a clash with the NZ EP Offroad Nationals at Counties over Easter, the next round of the HRCCC indoor club champs will take place a week later on the 11th April.|
|Finals Grids - Please Read 03/03/15 11:11PM (195) |
|Please note: We will be asking club members to vote on whether we should consider make the following alternation to the grids for finals.
Currently we split the cars so that the 'A' final is full of 12 cars then the remainder move to the next final.
The proposal is that when there is more than 1 heat of finals per class, the grid is to be split evenly across the required number of finals.
E.g. If there is a total of 14 cars, the top 7 will be placed in the 'A' final, the remaining 7 will be placed into the 'B' Final.
This proposal has been put forward by a club member and we wish the to know if the majority of the club agrees with it.
There are positives and negatives for either system, please consider these when voting on Saturday night.|
